Math vs. Zombies iPad game!

My students have become totally addicted to a game that I initially ignored as too much game, and not educational enough.

Was I wrong!  Math vs. Zombies is a computation game that has students race to answer facts before the zombie gets too close. Once the fact is answered, the zombie turns back into a person! The math, however, is what makes me most happy!

It makes a great review for all the basics, and kids can go back and redo any level once it's open.
The math progression is well-planned. In the easy setting, the math level 1 is basic addition, then tougher single digit, then teens digits adding single digit, then double digit adding a single digit, then tens adding tens, and then double digit adding a double digit, ALL WITHOUT regrouping! Great warm-up for all students, and then they can move up to medium and hard levels! And the same goes for subtraction, multiplication and division!

But most importantly, the game is fun! The kids love it so much, I'm making a bulletin board for the kids to keep track of their level and operation.

Try this one out with your kids!
