Bank Street Video

I just got this recently, and I thought it was a great video to help explain the Bank Street philosophy. It was a great graduate program, and extended my learning in ways I was not expecting, and I am very happy to share this video.

Many people are not sure what Child Centered Learning is, and hopefully this can introduce it. The current mood in the U.S. is to collect data and test, test, test. Yes, testing is important, but you can't fatten a sheep by weighing it. I joined Bank Street because their approach is to test, yes, but to use action research, observation and questioning to learn what the children can do, can't do, and use this to move the child's learning forward.

One of the games reminded me of an old atari game? Play it and see. Do you remember the name?
